Bug Season

It's that time of year down here in the desert when all of the creepy crawlies come out.

This is my way of facing my fear.
I hate bugs but I must admit that I am also fascinated by them. They are so intricate and come in the most amazing colors. I look at them while goosebumps are rising on the back of my neck and I fight the urge to run away screaming and flailing my arms. I am trying very hard to coexist with the little creatures. As long as they stay out of the house we are good.

Lupe! I tried to email you and could not get it to send. Congratulations on having your beautiful work published in the June issue of Polymer Cafe. I especially liked your comments about your piece.

You! afraid of bugs??! I never would have guessed it! I imagine you with jars and terrariums full of colorful creepy crawlies for your inspiration... no, just kidding! I hate spiders! But, I know I could never make one out of clay - I would scare myself! LOL

You sure have a way with pretty bugs.

Well, a good way to conquer your fear is to make the scary thing funny, right? Your little buggies are really charming - not so scary at all. I agree that they have no place inside... *shudders*
